Make Your Own Laundry Soap

Hey, I'm back briefly, to share something super cool with you.

I was reading a friend's blog today when I found this recipe for Laundry Soap.  I've always stayed away from making my own for 4 reasons.

1.  I have never found a recipe that wasn't too complicated.

2.  I am lazy.

3.  Many of the recipes I've found have ingredients that my sensitive youngest daughter is allergic to.

4.  I have been concerned about if it would be okay with my cloth diapers (youngest daughter is allergic to most disposables.)

So, I haven't ventured out on this endeavor just yet.  I did find this recipe inspiring and am going to try it as soon as we move and I have a home of my own again.

I hope you like it as much as I do.  If you have other recipes that are simple and work well, link them up in the comments.  Head on over and check out Caitlin's blog, you'll be glad you did.

Thanks Caitlin!

  1. Oh, my gosh, I love making my own laundry soap. Turns out it works SO much better, especially on my son's cloth diapers. He's allergic to regular diapers too. I found that when I make my own laundry detergent it cleans the diapers well, and he has a lot less problems with the soap. Have you made it yet? What did you think?
